Logos and Branding
Corrofast Coatings is a well known name in the UK paint industry, and was known for its wide range of colours and products, however due to financial difficulties it eventually closed down which lead to HMG Paints Ltd, the UK's larget independent paint manufacturer, picking up the rights to the name. After years of neglect HMG Paints decided to resurrect the brand, after spotting a gap in the market and launch it as a 'High Quality Competitive Price' product, initially offering only one product a Quick Drying Universal Primer, and only being available in pallet quantaties.
The Rebanrd needed to be clean and simple, with the logo being updated for the new modern market after nearly 15 years of absence. The most signicant change was removing the 'Coatings' from the original name, with the new brand only having a limited porftolio we felt this was not needed. A new cleaner version was designed, that paid homage to its predecessor, by becoming a more streamlined brand we felt a lowercase logo was the way to go. The simplified to be used on various media, inludining print, products and merchandise so that the brand was easily identifiable, secondly we developed a highly stylized version that would run on the website and on more modern media.
