With the increase in social media the reaction of the ads and opinions of the 90million plus viewers can instantly be gauged, the Brand Bowl as it was dubbed monitored the social media buzz and proclaimed Chrysler the winner of this years Brand Bowl MVP, and from what I've seen rightly so, the company who have had a bad few years are relaunching and rebranding in their native market with a relaunch playing on their heritage and their link to their native city, Detroit, and who better to include in their ad than none other than Detroits most famous native Eminem, the ad below is really well done and stands the resurgent brand on a good footing for the future:
The fall out from the Super Bowl will last for months, and i'm not talking about Coach Tomlins investigation in to why the Steelers turned the ball over 3 times and handed the Packers the victory, and will be analysed in depth by everyone from the public to the media and the companies and creative firms who spent the millions on their adverts, only time will tell as to how effective the 30 second spots have been, with some gaining recognition as greats and others becoming infamous for how awful they were, below i've listed my favourites and also some of the worst. The company coming off worse is Groupon, the deal-of-the-day website, who released some truly awful ads featuring Liz Hurley and Cuba Gooding Jr.
