Whilst browsing my twitter stream (@SDX_Media) I came across this fantastic piece of design work.  Social Media has been getting bigger and bigger over the last few years, with the initial success of Myspace, the emergence and domination of Facebook, then the latest big social media player, Twitter, the social media scene can be a a confusing one, especialy with the amount of tools and apps that run these services. The new kid on the block Twitter has exploded in popularity over the last 2 years, with help from major celeb backers including, Stephen Fry,the Kutchers and even Lady Gaga, the succes has spurned a huge array of apps, sites and services that help users make the most of the microblogging serviec, leading to a confusing landscape. However now Brian Solis & Jess3 have designed a fantastic infographic detailing the Twitterverse, the guide to the Twitterverse contains everything from the popular apps including Tweetdeck to the less well known ones like Twazzup.  The map of the Twitterverse has 19 rings which include things like, Dashboard management, Geolocation, Rich Media, Trends & Causation.  You can see the map below, or click on the image for an even bigger version.
